About BASIS
BASIS is a student-managed organization investing $5,000,000 of the University’s endowment. We have a dual mandate of providing a unique educational experience for all of the members while generating competitive returns for the Virginia Tech Foundation. By investing real money, the student members merge the education they are receiving in the classroom with real market experience.
Students graduating from BASIS find that the fixed income background they acquire is invaluable as they start their future careers. Our students have an advantage when competing in the job market at financial firms.
